Ah, good ole rap beefs. They’ve been around since a long time. Great promotional tool, and proven strategy to get some buzz around your name going. The thing is though, a lot of rappers are able to talk the talk, but few can walk the walk.

France’s two most famous rappers, Booba and La Fouine, decided to walk the walk and fight in the street over their beef. Booba (real name: Ellie Yaffa) and La Fouine (real name: Lahouni Mouhid) starting beefing with each other back in 2013 and the dispute between the two took a shocking turn.

Booba and La Fouine are by far France’s most famous rappers. They have sold million of albums and have millions of social media followers. They’re no joke in the French rap scene, to say the least.

The two had a beef going on back in 2013. It’s unclear as to who started it first; oftentimes that bit is lost in rap beefs, but the dispute still goes on. Both have released songs in which they dissed the other one, and have insulted each other back and forth for several months.

The beef got so big that even traditional, conservative, mainstream French media outlets were talking about it on their front page. The conflict between the two took a serious turn when Booba accused La Fouine of sexually assaulting a minor a few years back, and later released a private French police audio recording that seemed to validate his claims.
