The UFC’s annual stop at Madison Square Garden arrives on Saturday, November 14, and UFC 334 brings two championship fights to New York, streaming in full on Paramount+.
The main event is Ciryl Gane’s first defence of the heavyweight title. Gane, 14-2, was elevated to undisputed champion in September after Tom Aspinall vacated the belt while recovering from the eye injuries suffered in their fight at UFC 321 last October, and Saturday marks the promotion’s first undisputed heavyweight title fight since that night. His challenger is Josh Hokit, the unbeaten American who is 10-0 and ranked No. 10 in the division, getting the biggest opportunity of his career on one of the sport’s most famous stages. BetOnline lists Gane as a -243 favourite with Hokit at +203. Whoever wins will not have to look far for a next challenger: Alexander Volkov beat Rizvan Kuniev at UFC 333 last month, and Alex Pereira meets Sergei Pavlovich in a five-round heavyweight fight at UFC 335 in December.
The co-main event is a fight that has taken almost a year to arrive. Women’s bantamweight champion Kayla Harrison, 19-1, defends against Amanda Nunes, the former two-division champion who came out of retirement after Harrison won the title by submitting Julianna Peña at UFC 316 in June 2025. The bout was first scheduled for UFC 324 in January, but Harrison withdrew after being diagnosed with herniated discs in her neck that required surgery, and it was later linked to UFC 331 before finally landing in New York. Joselyne Edwards is expected to be on standby. The betting market reflects how much has changed since Nunes last fought: BetOnline has Harrison at -190 and Nunes at +161, making Nunes an underdog for the first time since she faced Cris Cyborg at UFC 232 in 2018, a fight she won by knockout in 51 seconds.
The rest of the main card has real rankings consequences. The closest line on the card is at middleweight, where Caio Borralho is a narrow -120 favourite against Yousri Belgaroui at +103. At welterweight, Uros Medic is favoured at -165 against Kevin Holland at +140, and at flyweight, prospect Bilal Hasan is the card’s biggest favourite at -950 against Luis Gurule.
The undercard is also expected to feature several familiar names, including Stephen Thompson against Charles Radtke, Drew Dober against Chris Duncan and Jim Miller against Terrance McKinney, though the full order is still subject to change.
With two belts on the line and Nunes back in the Octagon, UFC 334 has the makings of one of the year’s defining nights. Fight week begins next Monday, and the full preview will follow once weigh-ins are complete.
