UFC 266 medical suspensions: Brian Ortega has orbital fracture and eight others facing 6-month suspensions

The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s latest pay-per-view event is in the books, but the UFC 266 medical suspensions reveal long recoveries ahead for nine fighters, including headliner Brian Ortega.

Saturday night’s event inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. was headlined by a featherweight title fight between champion Alexander Volkanovski and top contender Brian Ortega. The New Zealander won by unanimous decision and left a lasting memory on his opponent beyond just the victory. Because the post-event medical report from the Nevada State Athletic Commission shows “T-City” has a “right orbital blowout fracture” and could be out of action until March.
