Poppa’s got a brand new bag

UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier and interim champion Jon Jones will meet in a unification fight at UFC 200 on July 9. Pre fight trash talk in the MMA space is often manufactured, but these two genuinely don’t like each other. At all.

Thus Cormier doubtless gets both motivation and fun from his brand new bag. Via AKA founder and head coach Javier Mendez.

“Ha this is awesome,” posted Cormier on Instagram. “Can’t remember the company that sent it to me. So if you are the company that sent that to me I say thank you and please let me know so that I can tag you. You have made training camp easy lol. #goodtimes #trainingcamp #aka #ufc200 #happytodowhatilove.”

UFC 200 is expected to be the biggest event in league history. Current line up includes:
Light Heavyweight • Daniel Cormier (c) vs. Jon Jones (ic)
Featherweight • José Aldo vs. Frankie Edgar for interim title
Women’s Bantamweight • Miesha Tate (c) vs. Amanda Nunes
Heavyweight • Cain Velasquez vs. Travis Browne
Welterweight • Johny Hendricks vs. Kelvin Gastelum
Middleweight • Gegard Mousasi vs. Derek Brunson
Lightweight • Diego Sanchez vs. Joe Lauzon
Lightweight • Sage Northcutt vs. Enrique Marín
Lightweight • Takanori Gomi vs. Jim Miller
Women’s Bantamweight • Cat Zingano vs. Julianna Peña
Bantamweight • T.J. Dillashaw vs. Raphael Assunção

That is a UFC light heavyweight championship unification fight, and an interim UFC Featherweight Championship fight, and a UFC women’s bantamweight Championship bout, all on the same card.

Note of course that the card is subject to change, unfortunately.
