It was quite the weekend for UFC newcomer Stephen Erceg, and the good news continue to roll his way.
The 27-year-old Australian stepped in on short notice at this past weekend’s UFC 289 event, where he scored a decision win over Czech flyweight David Dvorak. Erceg was given a $50,000 performance bonus for his efforts, and in today’s latest official rankings update, it was revealed “Astroboy” was debuting in the No. 14 slot at 125 pounds.
With his setback, Dvorak drops to No. 15. Meanwhile, Brazil’s Bruno Silva falls out of the top 15 with Erceg’s addition.
