The legendary Royce Gracie faces off in the Gracie academy against Jason Delucia, a Kung Fu expert with an MMA record of 33-19-1 at the time.
They start standing up. Jason throws one limp kick to the leg. On the second, Royce charges in for the clinch. He takes Jason down against the wall and mounts. Jason holds onto a guillotine grip, but Royce unleashes a lot of nasty punches to the ribs on that side and Jason is forced to release it.

Eventually Jason gets up to his knees and Royce takes the back. Jason won’t let him get the choke so Royce lets do and delivers several cringeworthy elbows to Jason’s spine. Jason spins around into Royce’s guard and lands a punch on Royce. Royce then locks a triangle and they roll into a mounted triangle where Royce controls Jason’s trapped arm and begins delivering undefended punches. Jason taps verbally and Royce lets go.

The two fought later at UFC 2 where Royce defeated him via armbar.
