A 20-year-old female karate instructor at Next Gen Martial Arts in Orlando was arrested for allegedly soliciting an 11-year-old student at the dojo for sex acts, and sending him inappropriate text messages. Stephannie Figueroa faces charges of attempted lewd or lascivious conduct, solicitation of a minor via computer, showing obscene material to a minor, unlawful use of a two-way communication device, child abuse, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The boy’s mother called police after finding inappropriate text messages, nude photos, and nude video, allegedly sent to her son’s phone by Figueroa. According to police, the content was communicated via the Kik app.
Figueroa is accused of making advances beginning in February. During that time, while the suspect and child were alone, Figueroa began sliding her hand on the victim’s thigh, according to police. The boy reported that he told the instructor to stop. According to investigators, she sent 15 nude images to the child over the last several months.
Her latest Vine is perhaps inadvertently disturbing, given the arrest.
In the most recent communication, last Tuesday she invited him over for her 21st birthday, and said she wanted to have sex with him. Figueroa allegedly told her victim nobody else would be home during the party.
Figueroa also allegedly told the boy she, “could not wait for another sleep over at the karate school, so she could have sex with him in a hard way.”
“OK IDC,” the boy is reported to have replied, using a shorthand for ‘I don’t care.’
The owner of the Next Gen Martial Arts initially said there were never any sleepovers, but then said there was never any inappropriate contact between Figueroa and the boy.
