Dramatic CCTV footage shows the moment a traffic cop was karate-kicked in the head by a skinhead as he walked along a street in broad daylight.
The dramatic CCTV footage shows three men approaching the civil officer as he noted a car registration plate in Leicester.
One of the men spits in the traffic cop’s notebook as he walks past before taking his pen and poking the Muslim council officer in the face with it.

Seconds later, one of the muscle-bound men launches a roundhouse kick catching the traffic cop straight in the face.
The force of the kick was so strong the cop crumpled to the ground while his hat is seen flying into the road.
The three men, who have not been identified, are then seen running off towards a nearby Tesco as witnesses rush to the aid of the stricken traffic cop.
Businessman Bob Young, whose CCTV cameras captured the savage attack, said he was shocked that someone could attack a man who was “doing his job”.
“They are not drivers, they are people just walking down the street and they’ve set about a person doing his public duty, and that is just not acceptable,” he said.
“It was horrendous. It was just a random attack, there was no reason for it at all. The poor traffic cop has just come out of hospital and is going back to work.

“I’m very pleased that we’ve actually got it on CCTV and hopefully the people will be brought to justice.”
The traffic cop, in his early 30s, was treated at Leicester Royal Infirmary for severe bruising to his face and head after the attack outside a florists in the city.
Leicestershire Police say the suspects have been described as three white men of Eastern European appearance who were aged in their late twenties to early thirties.
PC Leigh Spencer, one of the officers investigating the incident, said: “We were called to the scene by the ambulance service after the man was found with nasty injuries to his face and head.
“Through CCTV enquiries in the area we have managed to capture the assault and images of the people responsible. [source : telegraph.co.uk]
