Before Kimbo Slice had even started his fighting career on either the street or the mixed martial arts cage, the Miami native was originally was going to play football.
The star middle linebacker during his time attending Miami Palmetto High School, he also attained an athletic scholarship during his time at both Bethune-Cookman University and the University of Miami, where he also studied criminal justice. In 1997, he then had a tryout with the Miami Dolphins being a part of the pre-season squad but was not able to get a place in the first team.

After school he ended up working as a bouncer where he met his current manager ‘Icey Mike’ who got him work for the adult web company Reality Kings. Kimbo would then start making appearances of their series ‘Money Talks’, a jackass style show were participants are offered cash prizes for various stunts.
In this instance one lucky participant has to go straight up the middle of the field, catch the incoming ball and then try and avoid or at least withstand a tackle from the one and only Kimbo Slice.
After the crushing ordeal the contestant lays on the ground in pain but money talks right?

Kevin Ferguson, better known as Kimbo Slice, is a Bahamian-born American boxer, mixed martial artist, and occasional actor. He became famous for mutual combat street fights which were spread across the Internet, leading Rolling Stone to call him “The King of the Web Brawlers.”
Slice left the underground fighting scene and signed a professional contract with EliteXC in 2007. Slice competed also in The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights and subsequently had a two fight stint in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
