If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.
– Benjamin Franklin
There is something to be said for innovation, forward thinking, and preparation; especially in the midst of a high energy/high-stress situation. The ability to plan ahead and be prepared can prove to be either overly cautious or instrumental during a dire circumstance. Unfortunately, these types of circumstances, the ones we consider dire, are oftentimes incredibly hard to predict.
Let’s take a look at a street fight for example. One can never be sure when leaving the house whether or not a situation may arise where they will be involved in a street fight. The majority of the time, we can almost certainly be assured that this type of altercation will not take place but there is always that chance. Once again, regardless of our skill level and level of training, it is also not certain whether or not we will be outmatched in said street fight.
When faced with the prospect of a street fight or any other type of situation that calls for self-defense it is best to be overly prepared. As the old adage goes, it is better to have something and not need it than to need it and not have it. There are all sorts of self-defense devices ranging from pepper spray to Tasers to concealed knives leaving a person with a plethora of options to choose from.

In the video below, we witness one such circumstance where great measures are taken to ensure that the person involved comes out on the winning end of this physical altercation. Check out the video below to see just how prepared and determined this woman was to win a street fight.
