One of the best things about the great sport of mixed martial arts is that you really never know what’s going to happen. From spinning hook kicks to accidental groin strikes and everything in between, to watch an MMA fight is to experience something unlike any other spectator sport in the world.

Sometimes, even after the fight’s final bell has rung, something may happen that you’ve never seen before. Like a fighter projectile vomiting inside the cage Exorcist-style while the decision is being read.

Eder Jones was down in Brazil, likely feeling the incredible rush that is associated with winning an intense mixed martial arts fight.

The referee was standing between Jones and his opponent, about to raise Jones’s hand in victory. Just before the official decision was read (and hilariously as the ring announcer mentions sponsor and possible culprit, Coke Zero), Eder Jones’s face erupts with a fountain of what has been rumored to be blood or, while far less interesting, a protein shake.

In all actuality, and upon examining the video as closely as anyone should, I’d say it’s very likely that Eder Jones knocked back a can of Coke Zero a little bit too quickly while the adrenaline fueled rush of post-fight victory was surging through him, causing the no calorie soft drink to return to the world outside Jones’s body.

Eder Jones currently has a professional mixed martial arts record of 9 wins and 5 losses, last having competed in April 2013 for Coliseu Extreme Fight.
