A shocking footage, courtesy of KRQE News 13, has emerged showing a UFC veteran being held at gunpoint by an armed citizen after an alleged hit and run incident in Albuquerque, New Mexico. And nope, this time it didn’t involve Jones ‘Bones’ Jones…

Albuquerque police has confirmed that a bicyclist was hit by an SUV on Friday, September 9, 2016. The SUV driver allegedly decided to flee the scene instead of checking on the bicyclist. Unfortunately for him, an armed citizen proceeded to drag him out of his vehicle and held him at gunpoint until police arrived.

It turns out that the SUV driver was none other than Henry ‘Sicario’ Martinez, a UFC veteran with a pro record of 9 wins and 3 defeats. Martinez fights out of Albuberque, New Mexico and can be seen in the following footage in a rather tense situation.

According to the man who recorded the following footage Martinez was pleading with the armed man not to shoot him and was also apologizing for hitting the bicyclist.

The armed citizen didn’t shoot indeed, but still made sure Martinez wouldn’t go anywhere until police arrived.

According to reports from local media it appears that the bicyclist is OK, despite having been involved in a particularly violent accident (his bicycle was still stuck under Martinez’s SUV when he got confronted by the armed civilian).

The UFC fighter has been booked in jail by Albuquerque police following the incident for fleeing the scene and driving with a revoked license.

It’s very unlikely that Henry Martinez will get another shot at competing inside the Octagon after the incident.
