It’s not uncommon for women on the street to be harassed by men with crude language and gestures. It’s not right, but unfortunately it happens .

When this man was caught disrespecting a woman on the street, one man, who turned out to be a trained Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter, gave him a hard lesson in respect.

This is not an ugly street fight, nobody was seriously hurt, but the man did learn to be respectful of women, at least we hope. At the worst case, he was embarrassed.

The two begin by arguing and when it looks like the man causing trouble is starting to get aggressive, the trained fighter initiates a clinch and immediately hits a trip takedown. The man was clearly aware of his situation and before it escalated against him, took action. It can’t be said for certain that the other man was going to attack him physically, but in the situation, he reacted calmly and surprisingly controlled. Another person in the same situation may have hit the other man, possibly hurting him, which could have legal ramifications.

As he takes mount, his opponent immediately turns and gives up his back to to the BJJ fighter. This is very common response from anyone untrained, but it is exactly what someone trained in BJJ would be prepared. As his opponent turns, the BJJ trained fighter takes his back and sets his hooks. He hen gives him a couple quick good slaps to the side of the man’s head and demands an apology.

Although he doesn’t really hurt the other man, it’s enough to get him to stop fighting back and as he quickly learns he won’t be able to escape, the original aggressor cries out.

Be responsible for yourself and be respectful, or sometime you may also have to learn a lesson the hard way.
