With gun violence constantly being broadcast in the media, it’s no surprise there’s an increase of people that are becoming more concerned about the possibility of finding themselves in a threatening situation with a firearm.

In this technique breakdown the always entertaining Master Wong goes through what can happen and what you can do when a gun is pointed to your head.

Throughout the lesson Master Wong will talk about some harsh realities dealing with someone with a firearm, how to get out of the line of fire, close range grappling and striking techniques and how to disarm the weapon giving you a chance to finish off your attacker or leave the scenario safely.

Do take into consideration if you ever feel in doubt in a situation like this, it is typically advised by law enforcement to co-operate if it guarantees your own and/or love ones safety. But if a situation comes up where action is absolutely required, it doesn’t hurt to have a few techniques at your disposal.

About Master Wong:

Michael Wong originally came to England at the age of ten as a refugee from Vietnam. He first took up martial arts as a result of being bullied at school. Starting his training with a Chinese Master in the UK, Sifu Wong progressed quickly in skill and after 5 years travelled to Hong Kong and mainland China to study with a variety of Chinese masters in his early twenties.

Training in a wide variety of martial arts has given Sifu Wong a foundation and skill level rarely seen in the martial arts world. It also allows him to provide a highly comprehensive teaching program for a great many students with differing requirements. This eventually led to the opening of the Master Wong Academy at Charles Street in Ipswich, becoming one of only a handful of full-time training centers in the region.
