There aren’t many people that leave the house during the day or at night that intend to get into a street fight. There are some that do but those people are few and far between as the average Joe has no intentions of getting into a physical altercation…EVER.
There are those instances when you simply must defend yourself and what happens when you are in a situation that absolutely requires you to fight? Will you be prepared and able to intelligently defend yourself and your family?
Well, neither www.mixedmartialarts.com nor myself promote street fighting or physical acts of violence in any form or fashion but there are those occasions that arise which simply require that you defend yourself and you better be prepared…to help in this matter we turn to the one and only Master Wong.

Your first thoughts when the terms self-defense, street fight, or physical altercation come up probably tend to lead towards the act of punching, however; as the old adage goes, first thought…wrong thought.
In the video below, Master Wong elegantly explains to us why you should not punch in a street fight and not only explains why you shouldn’t engage in this type of behavior but goes on to explain exactly what you should do to be able to appropriately defend yourself.
The most obvious reason why one would not want to punch while in a street fight is the likelihood of breaking your hand. If you throw a wild haymaker and connect with your attacker’s forehead, top of the head, of even a bony part of the facial structure then you could be headed for some serious trouble…not to mention medical bills!
So check out the video below as Master Wong explains why not to punch in a street fight and what you should do instead.
