We all know that Brazil is a hot-bed for martial arts talent, but as this video demonstrates the people of Argentina also know how to fight.

It’s not clear what sparked off this street fight as the footage begins with the two young men already looking to trade blows in the middle of the street after dark.

The incident was almost over as quickly as it started when the two men parted to opposite sides of the road in order to let a car pass by.

That should have been the cue for both to go their separate ways and avoid the risk of getting hurt.

Instead the man in the white top’s ego appears to get the better of him and he made what would prove to be an ill-fated decision to swagger back on to the road and continue fighting with his adversary before the car even had a chance to pass.

As they re-engaged the man with the orange jacket showed good head movement to evade an incoming left hook.

Immediately he returned fire, landing a kick flush to his rivals head which proved to be a knockout blow, sending him face first down to the asphalt where he lay motionless as concerned onlookers moved in check on him.

It was a brutal finish and to his credit the victor didn’t look to land any further unnecessary blows afterwards, instead choosing to walk away.

From a self defense standpoint the lesson here is simple – if you have a chance to leave the scene of a potential altercation unharmed then take it, and even if you know how to defend yourself only use your skills as a last resort.

Anything can happen in a street fight, and in the worst-case scenario if you get knocked out the worst damage may not come from the blow itself, but rather from your head hitting off the concrete afterwards.
