There aren’t many people that leave the house during the day or at night that intend to get into a street fight much less have to defend themselves from an attacker who could potentially be putting their life at risk.
There are some that do but those people are few and far between as the average Joe has no intentions of getting into a physical altercation…EVER.
Even more rare are the life threatening or life changing situations where a person may have to defend themselves because their life is quite literally at risk and make no mistake about it; if your attacker has a weapon or there are multiple attackers, your life is at risk.

There are those instances when this happens and what happens when you are in a situation that absolutely requires you to fight? Well, neither www.mixedmartialarts.com nor myself promote street fighting or physical acts of violence in any form or fashion but there are those occasions that arise which simply require that you defend yourself or you may in fact lose your life. These are situations that your safety and your life depends on your knowledge and ability to perform in a self-defense situation…this is where UFC fighter Ryan Hall comes in to give his opinion on the situation.
Ryan makes a very astute observation in regards to the very best martial art to use in any situation and the results may surprise you as his answer is not a martial art at all. There are factors to take into consideration in any circumstance and being able to rationally and logically think your way through the aforementioned situation is key.
So check out the video below to see how Ryan Hall fields the question, Which martial art is best for a self-defense situation?
