There are not many people that leave the house during the day or at night that intend to get into a street fight. There are some that do but those people are few and far between as the average Joe has no intentions of getting into a physical altercation…EVER.
Even rarer are the life threatening or life changing situations where a person may have to defend themselves because their life is quite literally at risk but happens the first time that you happen to take a punch to the face? How can one prepare to literally be hit in the face?
Well, neither www.mixedmartialarts.com nor myself promote street fighting or physical acts of violence in any form or fashion but there are those occasions that arise which simply require that you defend yourself or you may, in fact, be in grave danger.

Self-defense expert Nick Drossos shows us in the video below exactly how we can prepare for a physical altercation, what to expect when an attacker is attempting to punch you in the face, and how to properly prepare.
As Nick says: “How do you overcome getting punched in the face?” It’s really important to know if you can take a punch, and how much of a punch you can take because the first time you get hit in the street you might just freeze and panic.
You cannot learn to defend yourself against an attacker if you don’t break this fear of getting punched. You need to learn not to be afraid because if you don’t, next time you find yourself in a fight you won’t be fully concentrated on defending yourself, but rather just avoiding hits.
So check out the video below and learn how to properly prepare yourself to be punched in the face.
