Wardrobe malfunctions have been happening for a long time before 1 February 2004, when Janet Jackson’s act with Justin Timberlake went over the top, and a new term was born – Wardrobe Malfunction. In sports, on the beach, and on stage, not everything stays where it is supposed to, every time, and mixed martial arts is not immune. Further, combat sports have also seen intentional and noble clothes-free calendars in Spain as well as in Finland.

However, something different was cooked up in Odessa, Ukraine.

Naked & Funny takes the Candid Camera inspired prank with hidden camera theme, and adds something, More correctly, it takes something away – a majority of the video content centers on a ‘victim’ removing clothing in front of unsuspecting onlookers.

The 2008 series lasted one season of 30 episodes, comprised of over 100 skits. Episodes aired internationally in some 40 countries, including on Germany’s Comedy Central. The content covers a wide variety of situations including retail establishments, out of doors, the gym , tennis courts, and on the mats.

Ukraine has a number of world-class TaeKwonDo experts, including two-time ITF champion Dmitro Pilinkevich. Thus it is no surprise that TaeKwonDo made an appearance on the series.

In this case the ‘TaeKwonDo’ class consists of Judo students, and a brunette wearing a generic white karate outfit, with her belt ineptly wrapped around once, and tied in a half knot. As the Judoka seek grips, the woman’s jacket comes off revealing all. She the start throwing an interpretation of the kicks that once made TaeKwonDo the world’s most popular martial art.

If you were curious, several actresses appeared in the series, using a variety of hairstyles and colors, including Lidiya ‘Lida’ Krasnoruzheva, Olga Pavlenko and Alina Buryachenko.

Doubts have been raised as to whether the individuals purportedly being pranked are genuinely innocent spectators, or whether they are in on the act. The signs are usually in English, presumably in order to facilitate international episodes. However, that would presumably appear odd to a native Ukrainian. More telling however, there are multiple cameras that appear to focus on the victim. These cameras move, and thus in all likelihood could not have been hidden from the ‘victim’.

Either way, it’s funny.
