If you have ever been to a live MMA event, you probably know how raucous the crowd can get. MMA fans can be particularly passionate and vocal when it comes to their favorite fighters, especially when a few alcoholic beverages are involved. However, when a fan decides to try their luck by hopping over the guardrail at an MMA show, things can go from exciting to ugly in the blink of an eye. Security doesn’t deal with fan intervention very well, especially when that fan is trying to get inside the cage to do damage to a fighter, referee or cornerman.
Overly-cautious security doesn’t seem to be a problem during Arrows Street Fight Championship shows, where virtually any amateur fighter can throw down inside a sandbox instead of a ring or octagon according to a description on Arrows Street Fight Championship’s website.
Originating in St. Petersburg, Russia in 2011, Arrows Street Fight Championship allows fighters of all ages and social groups to show off their skills against one another in a fight that has no rounds. It’s a concept that would never fly at the highest levels of MMA, where licensing and regulation prevent situations like this from happening at the professional level.

Nonetheless, Arrows Street Fighting Championship has a dedicated fan base and has grown in popularity since its inception more than 5 years ago.
In this video, we see Fighter From Crowd, a 23-year-old auto service manager, emerge from his seat as an observer to challenge a more experienced fighter in gray shorts. In a frightening and humorous effort to keep the unknown fighter safe, he’s given an unopened mouth guard and a pair of gloves as he’s sent into the sandbox to do battle. Check out the video below to see what happens.
