On paper the smaller youth in this schoolyard fight shouldn’t have stood a chance against his much larger opponent, but as Mark Twain once wrote, ‘It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog.

Little is known about the circumstances surrounding the fight, other than the fact it took place at a school in Stockton, California.

As the video begins the fight is already underway and the vast size difference between the two is immediately apparent, with the youth in the gray jeans and dark jacket looking to be easily twice the weight of his rival in the blue jeans and hoodie.

The ‘Goliath’ in this instance attempts to use his bulk to his advantage by closing the distance, grabbing his opponent and bundling him to the ground as the fight briefly spills over from the concrete to a nearby playing field.

’David’ quickly gets back up and drives forward, with the momentum knocking over his rival, who grabs hold of his head and tries to pull him down too.

Managing to wrench his head free, ‘David’ starts to unleash punches, but ‘Goliath’ counters with a double-leg to bring him down.

’David’ is too quick though and is able to scramble back up to his feet, losing his hoodie in the process as his rival continues to grab at him.

Back upright they start trading punches, with ‘David’ getting the better of it as he staggers ‘Goliath’ backwards with a right hand, then connects with another, before a third blow puts the big man down.

’David’ backs up several paces, no doubt hoping that the fight is over, but his rival just gets back to his feet and starts lumbering towards him again.

Again they start winging bareknuckle punches at each other, and again it’s ‘David’ who finds his rival’s unprotected chin with a blistering right to the jaw that demolishes ‘Goliath’, leaving him slumped in a heap against a locker.

Game over!
