Fair warning, the following footage might not be suitable for the faint of heart. It features a violent altercation that might shock some viewers. Proceed at your own risks.

Here is the backstory, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office: the two teenagers featured in the following video are students at East Rowan High School in Makanda, Illinois, USA. The teenager with the blue shorts is 15 years old, while the other one is one year older. The disagreement started on Facebook with threats made back and forth between the two students. The 16-year-old boy was charged with cyber-bullying.

So basically, the 16-year-old boy cyber-bullied the 15-year-old student and the latter decided to retaliate by fighting him. Fair enough, right? Cyber-bullying is a very serious matter after all, and it has led more than one teenager to commit suicide.

Sometimes a good punch is what a cyber-bully needs in order to stop harassing his/her victim. I think you might agree on that. The problem with the following video is that the victim went far, far beyond that.

The video starts with the victim choking his bully out with a rear naked choke. Now, it takes only a few seconds for one to pass out when caught in such choke; you surely have seen this happen in the UFC. Beyond those first few seconds severe consequences can happen, from irreversible brain damage to death. Holding a rear naked choke for more than a few seconds can be horribly dangerous.

The victim held the choke for exactly 22 seconds.

That’s a terrible thing to do. The nearby spectators tried to physically stop him but he wouldn’t let the choke go. The bully’s wrists bent, which is a sign of brain damage. All in all, it was a very unfortunate situation. The bully needed some kind of lesson, but the victim literally almost killed him there.
