The sport of Mixed Martial Arts has been around a lot longer than most people believe, however; it was introduced to the world on a cold evening in Denver, Colorado on November 12, 1993, and called the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

The premise was beautiful in its simplicity: to simply answer the question of which martial art is most effective. Fast forward over 20 years and we now have a sport that jockeys for top position in popularity in many countries.

The sport of Mixed Martial Arts has actually become so popular that it can oftentimes be seen on display in your average street fight and has radically even had a team element added to it, however; the craziest variation of mixed martial arts has to be the team vs. team street MMA fight.

As evidence in the video below, these two rival teams, possibly gangs, have taken this concept to an entirely new level. What at first site appears to be an old school skins gang fight (if you do not get that reference you should have paid more attention in school and actually done your reading assignments, go read S.E. Hinton’s The Outsiders…I’ll wait…).

Now that you are up to speed, let’s continue. These guys have taken things to an entirely new level.

This is an organized, street MMA fight complete with two teams, shirts and skins (the shirts even appear to have numbers), and also a gentleman in the middle of the melee that seems to be acting as some sort of referee although there appear to be no rules. These guys came prepared; complete with hand wraps and mouthpieces.

So check out the video below to see this insane and incredible event take place.
