We have all heard the tales, seen Hollywood recreations, or even witnessed the intriguing event that is a gang fight. These fights closely resemble riots as well as any other event where effectively we witness what psychologists call a mob mentality.

The mob mentality is effectively present when the actions of one are influenced or swayed by the presence of a group of people who are engaging collectively in a single event. When this occurs people engage in activities and make decisions that they normally would not make or are involved in actions that normally go against their moral and/or ethical code. Below we witness an event that exquisitely displays this phenomenon.

What we witness below is not just your stereo typical gang fight. At first glance, it appears to have all of the common features that ever present in a good ole fashioned street brawl: a lot of males aged 18-30, two distinct sides, and a lot of hollering; however; upon further inspection one notices something that is a bit distinct…mixed martial arts gear.

The gentlemen in the video below have come prepared. They are equipped with hand wraps and gloves for protection while some even have used athletic tape for support and protection as well. There is no mistaking the fact that was a well thought out, well organized, and planned brawl in which both sides came prepared and ready to do battle.

Not only do the guys in the video below look to be well-prepared but they also display a bit of skill; these are not just your average gangsters who are involved in a group scuffle, these guys’ training and experience are on full display.
