Last night former WWE champion John Cena appeared on the ‘Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ and in the middle of his interview, the set’s bully interrupted them.

At the time, Colbert just hand to let it happen, as he had no idea how to defend himself against a bully. However, John Cena is an advocate for anti-bullying and made sure Colbert would be ready for the next time he found himself face to face with the bully.

The video starts with the bully insulting Colbert before slapping his note cards out of his hand as he tried to kindly ask him to stop. Butch the Bully then berated him “How you gonna ask your stupid questions without your stupid cards. Dummy.”

After the bully threatened to beat up Colbert, John Cena put the late night host through an intensive workout to prepare him for the altercation.

After the work out, Colbert seems ready to take on Butch. Butch enters the studio and again threatens Colbert. The host looks ready to finally defend himself, but he flips the switch and just tells John Cena to get him. And just like when faced with someone actually tough, the bully runs away in terror.

About John Cena

He’s a 15-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, five-time U.S. Champion and record-setting Make-A-Wish granter. He’s released a hit album, starred in blockbuster movies, and — more than a decade into his WWE tenure — he hasn’t slowed down a step. If you really can’t see John Cena at this point, chances are you simply aren’t looking.

Was there any doubt Cena would become the living legend he is today? You practically knew you were glimpsing the future Face That Runs the Place when a muscular Massachusetts kid threw down with Kurt Angle for a chance to become a true WWE Superstar. Sure enough, a little ruthless aggression went a long way. After gaining the respect of his peers by stepping to The Olympic Hero, Cena went supernova as the fire-spitting Doctor of Thuganomics, eventually reaching the peak by upending JBL for his first WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 21.
