WARNING: The following content contains graphic images of a real life dispute involving a knife attack. Viewer discretion is advised.

In this brutal footage from Thailand in a dispute that allegedly started over money, we see someone with a belt fighting someone with a knife. Now instantly that should raise some flags as it is obviously a complete mismatch on paper. One tool is designed to cut things, the other is for holding your pants up.

Nevertheless, a lot of times in self-defense situations using whatever is at your disposal to defend yourself is going to be better than nothing at all. That doesn’t appear like that is how this dispute went down however.

Right from the get go you see the guy in the red walking aggressively towards the man in the white then takes off his belt to attack him with it. Little did he know though that the guy in the white had a knife on him where he promptly pulled it out then plunged it directly into the aggressors’s neck it looked like but according to a translated news source he was actually stabbed in the ear.

He bleeds quite a bit from it though it doesn’t appear like he died from the wound at least from the same external, roughly translated news source.

The main lesson we can draw from this disturbing situation is to not attack anyone especially over something so trivial as money. You never know what somebody is carrying on themselves or if they are crazy enough to use it. Also, more importantly never bring a belt to a knife fight. They are just not even close to comparable in terms of lethality.

The only way it’s possible for a belt to become lethal is if you strangle someone with it but other than that if someone has a knife your best bet is to simply get out of there and escape.
