In other parts of the world, these type of bladed or melee weapon versus weapon attacks and fights seem to occur with great frequency. Perhaps it is because firearms aren’t as readily available or maybe it’s the fact that living in a less developed country doesn’t provide much options. Whatever the case, life doesn’t same to be treated with the same kind value as it is in the developed world.

It is unclear what preceded this brutal display of carnage seen in this YouTube video, but it is frightening as well as disturbing to say the least.

The two men involved appear to be having words initially. The man off the bike is already holding a machete as well as getting physical with the man seated on the bike so it is likely he was threatening him or trying to intimidate him in some way.

The man on the bike was not having it though because as soon as distance was created he got off his bike and grabbed his own machete. The two then engage with each other, swinging wildly and aggressively in a brutal dance of death. Just one swipe in the right spot and it is all over.

The man who was on the bike even drops to his knees in an attempt to hack at his opponents legs but ends up getting hit and loses his machete. He then tries to grab a hold of his opponents weapon and the two end up locked in a clinch type position. Some very brave nearby bystanders then intervene to break up this brutal, deadly standoff.

You can see blood coming from the back of one man and I’m sure both were hit at least once if not multiple times. They should both consider themselves lucky though if they made it out of this situation with both their lives and freedom intact.
