Did football rising star Leonard Fournette get into a street fight with one of his teammates on Tuesday night?
The following footage, courtesy of TMZ Sports, shows the young man apparently getting into a street fight with one of his teammates.
Leonard Fournette is an American football running back for the LSU football team of Louisiana State University and a highly-touted prospect. An impressive athlete, Fournette stands at 6 feet and 1 inch, for 235 pounds, meanwhile his teammate, Garrett Brumsfield, stands at 6 feet and 3 inches, for a whopping 305 pounds.
It makes little doubt that if two such high-caliber athletes got into a fight it could result in severe damage… Well, they decided to do exactly that on Tuesday night outside Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Louisiana State University Athletic Director of Communications Michael Bonnette has issued a statement following the incident in which he claims both men were “playing a game where they basically have to touch the other person twice” and that “no one was injured”, denying the claim that the teammates were seriously fighting each other.

So, is Michael Bonnette’s statement accurate or is it mere PR damage control? It seems hard to believe that both men were merely playing a “game” considering how hard they basically tried to rip each other’s heads off.
Fournette, seen without a shirt on in the footage obtained by TMZ Sports, certainly doesn’t seem to hold pack on the big overhand rights he’s trying to land on his teammate. The latter doesn’t exactly look like he’s taking it lightly, either.
The footage seems to suggest that both men were really fighting each other, though it is hard to form a definitive opinion without the context, to be fair. Watch them go at it and decide for yourself.
