UFC 91 in November of 2008 will forever be remembered as the event Brock Lesnar became the heavyweight champion of the world, but some of the craziest action that night actually took place in the stands.
A fan in attendance at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas was in the process of filming Lesnar being officially declared as champion by UFC announcer Bruce Buffer from his vantage point in the arena, when a chaotic brawl suddenly broke out right in front of him.
It would later emerge that one of the men caught up in the carnage was kickboxing star Ray Sefo (blue suit, blue shirt), who was there with his brother (yellow t-shirt), and he would later provide some context for what occurred.
According to Sefo, a couple in front of him had been annoying fans throughout the night by continually standing up and blocking other people’s view, yelling and shadow-boxing. When people behind Sefo started to yell at them in annoyance, a friend of the kickboxing star politely asked the man and woman if they would sit down.
However, the blonde-haired woman seen in the footage immediately flew into a rage and started shouting and swearing at them. Sefo said he tried to calm her down, but the more he did so, the angrier she became, and eventually she and her husband turned violent.
That’s roughly where the footage starts, with the woman throwing a punch at Sefo. She misses, and according to Sefo, his friend pushed her out of the way and then floored her husband when he also attempted to hit him.
Things got even crazier when another fan tackled the woman, resulting in them both falling headfirst down several rows of seats. That was the cue for Sefo and his companions to leave, while the irate lady actually got back to her feet and continued yelling.
Meanwhile, another bystander in an Affliction t-shirt was attempting to subdue her troublemaking husband, but unfortunately for him, a police officer arrived on the scene and showed remarkable strength as he hoisted him clean off his feet, then violently slammed him back down hard onto the steps behind him.

Soon after the lady then broke into tears as her husband was put in handcuffs and other fans pointed out that she had instigated the fight.
Sefo’s brother was also reported to have ended up in cuffs, but when the police escorted them all outside the arena they apparently gave everyone the option to either all go to jail, or just call it even and go their separate ways.
Needless to say they all agreed upon the latter option, and after sobering up, hopefully the couple who caused the commotion in the first place will count their blessings that the real fighter in the melee, Sefo, showed commendable restraint, and never raised a hand in anger throughout the whole situation.
