UFC color commentator and TKD badass, Joe Rogan training with former UFC welterweight champion, Georges St-Pierre, at Rogan’s Garage Mahal.
In this video, Joe Rogan shares his secrets with the former champ on how to throw the most powerful spinning side kick possible.
Looks like Georges had either been taught wrong or he has been practicing it wrong because as soon as Joe explained how to do it properly, the former champ had no problem picking it up.
Joe is a well-versed martial arts practitioner, which is what made him such a great commentator for the UFC. He has knowledge of many different disciplines of martial arts from taekwondo to jiu-jitsu. His knowledge goes to show in this video of him showing one of the greatest fighters to walk to the Octagon how things are done.
Georges “Rush” St-Pierre, also known as GSP, is a Canadian professional mixed martial artist and former UFC world champion who holds black belts in both Kyokushin karate and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Georges was raised in St-Isidore, Quebec, a town of about 2,000 people. As a child, he was bullied for years by older schoolmates. His father had introduced him to Kyokushin karate at age 7, but life isn’t like a movie, he said. You can do all the karate you want when you’re eight or nine-years-old and they’re 12 when you’re alone and there’s three of them, you can’t do anything. That’s reality.
