“Tarzan” has an interesting history in the UFC that dates back to his debut all the way to 2014. He won seven of his first 10 fights competing as a welterweight and came up short in an April 2017 bout against future division king Kamaru Usman.

However, in December 2018 he was in a serious motorcycle accident that damaged his leg severely, and cost him two years of his career. When the 30-year-old returned to the Octagon in October of 2020, it was as a middleweight, and he picked up where he left off by scoring a unanimous decision win over Jack Marshman.

The video piece, put together by the UFC, features his debut first-round submission of Bubba McDaniel, his third-round knockout of Alex Garcia in 2016, his memorable destruction of talented rising star Brendan Allen in November, and finally his unanimous decision win over Krzysytof Jotko in his most recent Octagon outing in May at UFC Vegas 25.

The eleventh-ranked Strickland is currently on a four-fight win streak, and will face-off with eighth-ranked Uriah Hall on Saturday’s main event inside the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The event will kick-off with the preliminary card at 6 pm ET, and is then followed by main card action at 9 pm ET. The event will air on both ESPN and ESPN+.
