At tonight’s UFC on FOX in Vancouver, Paige VanZant landed one of the coolest kicks in UFC history against Bec Rawlings. Starting out the second round, Van Zant through a jumping switch round house kick that landed flush to Rawling’s face.

The kick didn’t knockout Rawlings, but dazed her and knocked her down. Van Zant quickly stormed her with punches and the referee was forced to end the fight:

Round 1 – VanZant misses a running knee to open. VanZant moving laterally on the outside. She misses another leaping kick. Rawlings sits down on a few big punches that miss. She’s firing big shots early. VanZant quick on the outside. They clinch briefly, but VanZant pulls away. Rawlings the one looking to attack. She lands a big right to the body. VanZant trying to keep her movement high. Rawlings drops her hands and wants VanZant to move forward. Spinning capoeira kick missed by VanZant. She remains rapid in her pace. Rawlings trying to get inside and strike with power shots. Right now, though, it’s Rawlings who’s doing the damage, patiently waiting for the moments to strike. VanZant kicks again and moves into the clinch. She’s not having any success there though. VanZant with a low kick and a crisp right hand. Rawlings answers back, and they finish on the feet. Round 2 – VanZant again rushes forward wit a leaping kick that misses. High pace again. Leaping switch kick to the face scores flush. Rawlings hits the deck, and VanZant unleashes a series of hammerfists to seal with win.
