Valentina ‘Bullet’ Shevchenko is one of the UFC’s top rising stars in the stacked women’s bantamweight division. She is currently coming off a great victory over the always tough Juliana Pena just a couple of weeks ago where she won by arm bar submission.
Though her grappling skills are obviously on point, she is actually best known for her striking skills as she comes from an extensive Muay Thai background where she even holds some wins over reigning UFC women’s straw weight champion Joanna Jędrzejczyk.
Besides having a high level background in competitive kickboxing, the very attractive Shevchenko also has a high level dancing background which we see her demonstrate in this clip from Peruvian reality TV show ‘Combate.’
She is clearly very athletic and skilled in the art of dance and though it is quite a bit different than fighting, perhaps dancing skills could translate in some way to footwork in mixed martial arts.
Also, just having activities you enjoy doing outside of fighting that help keep you active can only help your mental game when it comes to competition.
Valentina is next expected to fight for the title against reigning champion Amanda Nunes in a rematch between two truly elite level fighters.
