“I feel great,” Kattar said immediately after the bout. “He’s a tough fighter, 7-0 in the UFC. They all counted me out in this fight. Like I’ve been saying, everybody counting me out doesn’t matter. As long as you believe in yourself that’s all that matters.”
It was Kattar’s first fight in over a year when he suffered a brutal loss to Max Holloway at UFC on ABC 1. Kattar improves to 7-3 in the UFC, as Chikadze fell to 14-3 overall.
Other main card winners yesterday inside the UFC APEX included Jake Collier (submission win over Chase Sherman), Brandon Royval (split decision over Rogerio Bontorin), Katlyn Chookagian (unanimous decision in her rematch against Jennifer Maia), Viacheslav Borshchev (by knockout in his UFC debut), and Bill Algeo (unanimous decision).
