During his reign Chuck Liddell was one of the most recognizable figures of the Ultimate Fighting Championship alongside his rivals Tito Ortiz and Randy Couture.

With an extensive striking background under longtime trainer John Hackleman of The Pit, Chuck Liddell holds the record for the most victories via knockout in UFC light heavyweight history at ten, ties for the most wins overall in the division at sixteen (alongside Jon Jones) and four title defenses to his credit. Some of knockout victims include Randy Couture (twice), Babalu Sobral (twice), Tito Ortiz (twice) and Alistair Overeem (before the horse meat).

But having been retired from the sport since 2010, you may be wondering if Chuck still packs the same amount of power?

In the following clip posted on Jay Glazer’s Instagram, the former champ is drilling some hellacious elbows on the mitts showing that even at the age of 47 his power is still just as scary.

Fellow former champ Bas Rutten even goes as far as to say Chuck is the hardest hitter he’s ever held pads for per his Facebook page.

“I LOVE Chuck and Chuck is somebody who I held the focus mitts for one time only, and man, I am not lying, he’s the hardest hitter I felt, and I felt MANY hard hitters, so here he’s showing everyone, like us older guys, that he still has power. I don’t wanna be the target, trust me……”
