In the sport of Mixed Martial Arts, the momentum of a fight can change at a split second from a single strike, takedown or submission. But so often in the chaos of battle it can often be hard to keep up with who is landing and who’s not given the immense speed of the many of the athletes competing.

Unfortunately for fighters themselves they can end up being affected by this as very famously many judges in the sport miss a lot of crucial moments of the fights and award the wrong fighter the winning score robbing athletes of wins, higher paydays and of course titles.

In this edition of UFC Fight Motion we get a closer and slower look of the stacked UFC 172 card held back on April 26th 2014 at the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.

At the top of the card light heavyweight great and former champion Jon Jones made a record seventh title defence against knockout artist Glover Teixeira putting on a clinic of clinch work display lethal elbows outworking the Brazilian.

In the co main former welterweight (plus middleweight and heavyweight) Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson made his long awaited UFC return at 205lb scoring an upset of ‘Mr Wonderful’ Phil Davis.

And the bout that got ‘Fight of the Night’ honours, former Pride FC kingpin Takanori Gomi went to war with lightweight veteran Isaac Vallie Flagg.
