Mir entered the Octagon for the 27th time, tying the record with Tito Ortiz. Hunt walked out to Queen and Bowie. And then like a great assassin, Mir killed his opponent with a walk off right.

Due to the time difference, the fight took place on Saturday, March 19 in the west. This was the second UFC event in Brisbane, the first being UFC Fight Night: Hunt vs. Bigfoot on December of 2013, also at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
