The UFC Vegas 28 co-main event featured a heavyweight clash between eighth-ranked Walt Harris and eleventh-ranked Marcin Tybura. However, both entered the Octagon from very different perspectives. The Polish grappler had won four straight and was surging. While Harris had fallen by technical knockout in his last two UFC outings.

Harris came out fast as always and stunned Tybura in the first minute. He dealt out a barrage of strikes on that “Tybur” tried to defend with a high guard. When it seemed like he was out of the woods, Tybura was stunned again. However, in a move to survive he was able to get Harris off balance and then into a grappling battle on the cage. Eventually, he was able to get the fight to the ground and then was soon on the back of “The Big Ticket.”

There, the major weakness of the 37-year-old was on full display, as Tybura went to work with ground-and-pound and made it easy for the referee to stop the fight. It is a third straight loss for Harris, and a third in a row by technical knockout. His difficult last few years just continue on for the native of Alabama.

Tybura has now won five straight and is primed to earn his first ranking inside the heavyweight division’s top 10. It’s just his ninth TKO win in 22 victories.
