Not surprisingly some of the most memorable moments that have taken place inside of the UFC’s octagon have all been connected to heated rivalries between fighters and/or the fighters camps themselves. Starting off with the original UFC feud between Ken Shamrock and Royce Gracie, to the grudge matches between former training partners Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz and of course the unforgettable culmination at UFC 100 between Frank Mir and Brock Lesnar, this familiar sports narrative have often coincided with the UFC bringing in more eyeballs and pushing the sport more and more into the mainstream.

On this episode of UFC Now, Megan Olivi is joined by former title challenger Kenny Florian and reigning UFC flyweight champion Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson as the trio breakdown their top five rivalries in the history of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

For Kenny Florian his top five list featured some very memorable and familiar rivalries which included the Cain Valasqeuz Vs Junior Dos Santos trilogy which ended with Cain getting vengeance over two bouts after his knockout loss, George St Pierre’s long standing rivalry with lightweight great BJ Penn, as well as the extremely heated yet entertaining rivalry between dominant middleweight kingpin Anderson Silva and the always colorful contender Chael Sonnen.

Do you think there’s any rivalries that have been missed? Check out the rest of Kenny’ s picks as well who Demetrious’ and Megan have in their top five in the video below.
