Who better to perfect your elbows with than the greatest light-heavyweight of all time?

Jon Bones Jones has been making a splash in mixed martial arts and speeding up its evolution ever since taking on and defeating Stephan Bonnar at UFC 94. On that night, Jones showcased what has become a signature move of his in the spinning elbow. Becoming the first in the UFC to attempt, land, and knock down an opponent with it all in one single spin.

You could say that was his coming out party to the world of mixed martial arts, but he didn’t stop there. He continued improving and developing an even more dynamic game on his way to the title, absolutely tearing through every bit of competition he faced in the process. Even after becoming champion Jones has continued to improve in every fight, always looking to employ new techniques to throw off his opponent. This is only one of the many reasons he is widely considered to be the greatest to ever compete in the sport.

But after being stripped of his title and forced to take a hiatus earlier last year, Jones came back and took on Ovince Saint Preux for the interim light-heavyweight title of the world, winning a 5 round decision. He was originally scheduled to take on Daniel Cormier at the event, but that matchup will have to wait as Cormier found himself injured just a few weeks out from the fight.

Do you expect to see Jones return at his best or do you think the time away from the sport will hinder him? Will he use his signature elbows to help secure the win? Let us know your predictions and what you think in the comments below!
