During this past weekend’s UFC Athlete Summit in Vegas, several fighters competed on a punching power machine to see who had the most pop in their punch.
In the video below, we see several big name power punchers mixed in with some non-fighters and it is pretty easy to tell who the fighters are not only from their numbers but from the technique of their strikes.
Some of the fighters included in this video are UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, John Lineker, Jon Dodson, Michelle ‘The Karate Hottie’ Waterson as well as heavyweight slugger Francis Ngannou.

Surprisingly enough, bantamweight and former flyweight fighter John ‘Hands of Stone’ Lineker received a higher score than welterweight champ Tyron Woodley. Though both are known for their heavy punching power, you would think the welterweight would hit quite a bit harder than a bantamweight fighter.
On the other hand, though, these machines are far from an exact science and much more of a parlor game than an actual scientific measurement of punch force.
Lineker’s punch score of 875 even does better than heavyweight slugger Francis Ngannou’s first attempt which is pretty incredible. That first attempt proved to be just a warm up for Ngannou though who’s second punch, which is a massive right hook, destroys the competition and is clocked in at an amazing 941.
