Not listed as the main event at UFC Vegas 29, the Seung Woo Choi versus Julian Erosa fight might be the most anticipated meeting Saturday night.

Seung Woo Choi versus Julian Erosa face off in worthwhile prelims bout at UFC Vegas 29

Before “The Korean Zombie” competes in the main event, fellow South Korean featherweight Choi (9-3 MMA, 2-2 UFC) will face American Erosa (25-8 MMA, 3-4 UFC)

Choi, 28, has won back-to-back fights after dropping his first two UFC outings to difficult opponents in Movsar Evloev (15-0) and Gavin Tucker (13-2).

A former champion in South Korean promotion Top FC and a bronze medalist at the 2010 Muay Thai World Championships, Choi signed with the UFC in 2019 as an 8-1 pro.

“Sting” will look to extend his current winning streak to three against another fighter who has turned his UFC tenure around.

Erosa, 31, is on his third – and best – stint with the UFC.

He first joined the roster after competing on The Ultimate Fighter Season 22 and went 1-1, rejoined in 2018 after a Dana White’s Contender Series contract-earning win and went 0-3. And is now 2-0 since resigning in 2020.

Erosa took out two top prospects in back-to-back outings, submitting Sean Woodson (8-1) via D’Arce in the third round, and knocking out Nate Landwehr (14-4) with a flying knee in the first round.

While the main event is likely to receive most of the night’s attention, don’t blink when Choi and Erosa enter the cage; the fight is surely a candidate for “Fight of the Night” honors.
