There really isn’t much of a filter between Sean Strickland’s brain and his mouth. In his latest headline-making rhetoric rampage, he accused UFC middleweight king Israel Adesanya of obviously being on the juice.

Strickland (24-3) is arguably the hottest fighter in the UFC’s 185-pound division after winning five straight, and his first main event opportunity in July. The seventh-ranked talent is closing in on a championship opportunity in 2022 if he can be successful in his next couple of fights. This includes a clash in February with the man ranked ahead of him, Jack Hermansson.

In a new interview with MMAJunkie, “Tarzan” was asked about the title picture and where he fits in it. But it’s hard to have a conversation about championship contention without talking about the man holding the division belt, Adesanya. Well, during the chat, Strickland’s mind wandered to thoughts of “The Last Stylebender” and a possible clash between the two. Something Strickland looks forward to. As long as Adesanya correctly “cycles off” his PED regimen before the fight.

Sean Strickland hurls PED accusations at Israel Adesanya.

I’m one of the hardest training fighters in the UFC and I’ll do everything I can to get to a title shot, and if it happens, let’s f*cking go, Izzy. I’m f*cking ready. Make sure to cycle off, though. I don’t want to f*cking bring you a bra if you don’t hit the right cycle,” Strickland said.

Performance-enhancing drugs can have a major effect on testosterone production. Since the drugs often supply the body with added testosterone. However, when use stops, the body’s natural testosterone production has to be restarted after it essentially goes into hibernation after PED use.

PED accusations surrounded Adesanya last year when the middleweight king had some swelling in his chest following his UFC 253 victory. The City Kickboxing fighter claimed at the time the swelling might have been related to overindulgence in marijuana, not a hormonal imbalance and a testosterone deficiency.

Strickland claims Adesanya has ‘gyno’ issues

That excuse didn’t pass the smell test for Strickland and the California resident continued to use the New Zealander’s chest as proof he has gynecomastia (AKA gyno) issues from taking performance enhancers.

Izzy’s a great fighter — he comes from kickboxing — have you ever seen a fighter with gyno for any other reason than that? Besides him, have you ever seen a fighter in the UFC that smokes weed that gets gyno? Ever? You can’t, because it doesn’t f*cking happen unless you cycle wrong. That’s a fact. We all know it. But regardless of the fact, Izzy’s a f*cking great fighter. We know that. That’s the fight I want,” said Strickland.

Izzy, I’ll come over dude. We can f*cking watch anime and you can put some f*cking testosterone in my ass. I’ll do it with you. Let’s f*cking go,” he continued. “With a needle, I think you guys do the stomach, right? Is that where you guys do, the stomach? You’re the expert on f*cking steroids. How’s it done?

As explained by John Hopkins University Medicine, gynecomastia is “a condition of overdevelopment or enlargement of the breast tissue in men or boys. The breasts become larger. … Gynecomastia is usually a benign condition. It may be linked to many different causes of hormone changes. … Gynecomastia is often caused by changes in levels of the female hormone (estrogen) and the male hormone (testosterone). But it can be caused by other things as well.

What are your thoughts on Strickland’s comments? Is this just another fighter using the media to push their way towards the front of the contender line, or is there some truth in his opinion?
