Just as fans were beginning to wonder if we’d ever see the former champion Ronda Rousey step back into the cage this video of her getting back to training surfaces.
After losing the title last November to Holly Holm by knockout, Rousey has been uncharacteristically silent, other than her Hollywood obligations. Many fans were beginning to wonder if she would ever even return to the sport that turned her into the star that she remains today. Well, could this be the answer to the question we’ve all been wondering?

You can see her in the video below ripping off powerful left hooks as her notorious trainer Edmond Tarverdyan holds the pad.
But is this what she really needs to be focusing her training on? Adding more power to the punches that she already uses? A large portion of the blame for her only career loss fell onto her trainer, for improperly preparing and hyping up the now former champ.
Although effective against lesser opponents, Rousey’s style has been incredibly one dimensional. She pressures forward using her boxing as she looks to obtain the clinch position where she is most dominant, but she doesn’t have the proper skills to cut the cage off like she is going to need against the likes of Holly Holm. Is this Rousey’s fault or is it fair for some of the blame to fall upon her trainer?
He even once publicly stated that Rousey could defeat her opposition while only using one hand. Could these types of statements built up Rousey’s own confidence too high, causing her to believe that she could out-strike a former world boxing champion in Holly Holm?

Will she be able to improve enough to one day recapture her bantamweight title? Will we ever even see her return to the octagon that she once called home? Let us know all of your thoughts in the comments!
