In the main event of UFC 193, Holly Holm showed she had a much superior boxing game than Ronda Rousey. Rousey was first an Olympic level Judoka who transitioned to mixed martial arts and began training with Edmund Tarverdyan on her boxing. Holly Holm began as a boxer with thirty eight professional fights and some national titles and also had three kickboxing matches before transitioning into MMA.

Fight Hub TV recently caught up with famed boxing coach Freddie Roach who gave his opinion on the fight and his thought’s on Rousey’s boxing.

Fight Hub TV: What do you think Ronda has to work as far as her boxing?

Freddie Roach: All she has is a ground game right now. She really needs to learn how to fight standing up and go against a lefty, a southpaw. And she had no idea or no strategy of how to deal with that…It was embarrassing a little bit. No one ever taught her anything about boxing it looked like.
