UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture spoke recently with TMZ Sports about pulling a family from a flipped minivan in Mexico on Sunday. Couture reports he had just landed in Cancun to work on the movie “Bruja” and was on his way to the hotel.

“I looked up and this minivan went off the road,” he said. “It rolled over twice into the jungle. My driver pulled over and called the police. We busted into the woods and helped the two women and the kid.”

“The vehicle was on its side, so everyone was climbing out the side door. One of the women seemed like she was in shock. She was really weak. So I carried her out of the van and to the road. I wanted to get everyone away from the car because I was concerned it was going to catch fire. There were all these fluids leaking from the van.”

Couture said he thought there would be dead bodies but that all six people in the car were ok, although “there was some blood from some scratches.”

He also noted that the police showed up promptly.

“Once they were back on the road, and we knew they were okay, we left and continued on to the hotel,” he said in closing.

Randy “That Natural” Couture is one of the greatest fighters in UFC history. He won the UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight championships multiple times each, making him one of only two fighters in league history to win titles in multiple division. The other is BJ Penn who won titles in lightweight and at welterweight. Couture officially retired from fighting in 2011.

He has appeared in eight major films, most notably The Expendables franchise opposite stars like Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham and Jet Lee.
