Ultimate Fighting Championship featherweight and Dana White’s Contender Series contract winner Matt Sayles said he will fight Jordan Leavitt at a planned UFC event on Dec. 18.
Sayles announced the fight on his Instagram account.
Matt Sayles vs Jordan Leavitt scheduled for Dec. UFC card
The DWCS alum will be Leavitt’s first opponent since he lost a unanimous decision to Claudio Puelles in June. Leavitt, also a former DWCS fighter, was 4-0 in 2020.
Sayles (8-3) hasn’t appeared in a fight for more than a year and a half. His last appearance was a submission loss to Bryce Mitchell in Dec. 2019. The booking will be “Robo’s” Octagon debut as a lightweight. He has lost two of three since earning his UFC contract in 2018.
