Kimbo Slice is an incredible success story but his short run in the UFC left a bit to be desired. In 2009 he was casted to be on season 10 of the Ultimate Fighter but lost his first fight in the house to the season’s champion, Roy Nelson. The UFC gave him another shot, matching him up with Houston Alexander at the season finale, which is where this video comes from. Although this fight wasn’t quite the fireworks show that it was expected to be, Kimbo Slice landed an epic slam in the second round.
Kimbo went on to win the fight via decision and Houston Alexander was cut from the UFC soon after. Kimbo got one more fight in the octagon against fellow TUF 10 cast member, Matt Mitrione. He lost by TKO and was cut from the UFC the next day. Kimbo’s MMA career was resurrected last year in Bellator, where he has gone 2 and 0 so far, beating Ken Shamrock and Dada 5000. His fights may not be the most technical but any time Kimbo gets in the ring, people watch.
