Jon Jones is training like a savage for his rematch with Daniel Cormier.

Jones’ striking coach, the well respected Brandon “Six Gun” Gibson, posted a video on Twitter of himself holding pads for the former UFC light heavyweight champion and the footage borders on downright scary.

Jones looks to be in better shape than ever before in preparation for his return fight with Cormier and, if the above video is any indication, has improved his punching power and hand speed since we last saw him compete.

It has been previously suggested that Jones was not fully dedicated to training before the Alexander Gustafsson fight and various others, but this footage indicates that he is taking his preparation extremely seriously for this bout. Jones has posted a variety of videos on his own Twitter account of him powerlifting which show off his new and improved physique and level of physical fitness.

Jones was stripped of his UFC light heavyweight title and was suspended by the UFC in 2015 after being arrested in connection to a hit-and-run incident. He has since been reinstated and, despite not having an official bout booked, is expected to challenge Daniel Cormier for the belt he used to own.
