Looks like Jon Jones is REALLY serious about getting his title back.

Last year, Jones was stripped of his UFC title and suspended indefinitely in connection with a hit-and-run incident he was involved in. Jones was set to take on challenge Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson before the incident occurred but the bout never materialized.

Instead, Daniel Cormier fought and defeated Anthony Johnson at UFC 187 on May 23, 2015, thus becoming the new UFC Light heavyweight champion.

Jones and Cormier already crossed paths inside the Octagon. It was in January, 2015 and Jones earned a unanimous decision win over Cormier. Although the title affair was close, Jones’ victory was not up for debate. He was too much for Cormier to handle, and even took him down a couple of times, which is a pretty amazing feat considering Cormier’s wrestling skills.

A lot of things have changed since their first fight. This time, Jones is training seriously; because yep, up until now, Jones would take training not too seriously. Basically, he was doing the bare minimum in order to win fights; he would regularly party and slack in training. What is amazing is despite not pushing himself to the fullest of his potential, Jones had become one of the top pound-for-pound fighters on the planet, dominating his foes in impressive fashion.

Now try to imagine what a motivated Jon Jones is capable of. Crazy, right?

It is no doubt Daniel Cormier will have his hands full when the time for the rematch against Jones comes. Jones is a totally different fighter now. He is pushing himself to his limits. He is on a quest to get back what once was his. It is an upgraded version of Jon Jones you are going to witness at UFC 197 on April, 23. Have a look at the monstruous kind of training Jones is putting himself through ahead of UFC 197:

Yikes. I would not want to be Daniel Cormier right now.
